From last week's post for those too lazy to scroll down..
"Number 10 in green
The Chad saved my team again
but I must play Vick"

Ok, bad call on that one. Thanks to the secondaries of San Diego and the Giants I survived my semi-final matchup. Now I play against the guy with Priest Holmes, Joe Horn and the QB I traded him Trent Green. Well maybe Trent will have one of his down weeks. I am going back to The Chad this weekend- I hope he understands. I mean he was playing in a blizzard this weekend- how could I play him??

Lots of baseball news and it looks like the world will now revolve around the AL East. I did catch Peter Gammons saying that it made no sense for the Red Sox to basically trade Nomar and Manny for A-Rod. Thank you Peter for echoing my statements. Every team in the league knows that if the Sox get A-Rod, they have to trade Nomar, so why would anyone offer them anything good in return.

Now for all those who say that the Sox have surpassed the Yankeees, let's break it down by position:

Pos Boston NY Edge
C Varitek Posada Even
1B Millar B. Williams(trust me) Even
2B ???? Soriano Yanks
SS Nomar or A-Rod Jeter Sox
3B Mueller Boone Yanks
LF Manny or LoDuca Matsui Sox w/ Manny NY w/o
CF Damon??? Lofton Sox
RF Nixon Sheffield Yanks
DH Ortiz Giambi Yanks
P Pedro Mussina Sox
P Schilling Vasquez Yanks
P Lowe Brown Yanks
P Wakefield Contreras Sox
P Perez or Burkett Lieber Yanks
CL Foulke Rivera Yanks
Bullpen Timlin/Embree Gordon/Heredia Yanks
Bench Yanks
Manager Francona Torre Yanks

I think the Red Sox will be better off to keep Manny and Nomar and not trade Damon. They can improve their bench by dealing Kim, but should keep Williamson to pitch set-up. Folks, don't pencil either of these teams into the Series yet. Let's see where Vlad ends up first.
